About the role
This position is available for a travel nurse RN specializing in Med Surg. The job is located in Rochester, New York.
Responsibilities
- Care for patients with a wide range of conditions including complex cases.
- Utilize specialized equipment to monitor patients' vital signs such as blood pressure, heart rate, blood oxygen level, and cardiac electrical activity.
- Provide care to patients recovering from heart conditions or cardiac surgery.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
- Must have a valid Social Security Number (SSN).
- DOB must be provided.
- No more than 30 days of gap in last 1 year of work history.
- Two references in the last 12 months are required.
Qualifications
- Experience working in a medically challenging environment is preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.
- Strong communication and critical thinking skills.
Skills
- Proficiency in using telemetry monitoring equipment.
- Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.
- Knowledge of medical surgical procedures and protocols.

Pay and Schedule
The pay rate is $2013.00 - $2138.00 per shift, with 36 hours per week and a 12-hour shift duration. Housing is provided free of charge.
Schedule
Shifts are 12 hours long and run on a day schedule.
