Travel Nurse RN - Med Surg - $2,075 per week
Job Summary
This position involves providing high-quality patient care in a 45-bed unit with a focus on general medical and surgical cases such as gallbladder, colectomy, appendectomy, hip/knee replacements, COVID-19, GI bleeds, CHF, COPD, sepsis, UTI, and respiratory conditions. The role requires critical assessment skills, resilience, and adaptability to a fast-paced hospital environment.
Job Details
Location: Henderson, KY
Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM, minimum of 36 hours per week
Start Date: 08/10/2026
Contract Length: 13 weeks with bi-weekly orientation
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours; acceptance of 48-hour shifts upon request
Float Requirements: First to float within skill set, including to deaconess campuses in Newburgh and Midtown with a 2-hour notice; mid-shift float within the same campus is possible
On Call / Call Back: Not required
Weekend/Holiday Schedule: Every third weekend and every other holiday
Qualifications
Certifications: Must hold a current active compact registered nurse license, American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA BLS), and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
Experience: Minimum of two years of strong Medical-Surgical nursing experience, recent EPIC charting experience (training required), and at least one travel assignment preferred
