Travel Nurse RN - Med Surg - $1,984 per week

About the role

We're looking for Medical Surgical RNs for an immediate travel nurse opening in Bottineau, ND. The right RN should have 1-2 years recent acute care experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient assessments and prioritize data collection based on patients' immediate conditions or needs.
• Perform ongoing assessments and appropriate treatments as ordered by a physician.
• Document patient findings and provide education and support to patients' families.
• Provide bedside care for a variety of patients, including pre- and post-op patients.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medication, reporting any adverse reactions to treatment.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Prepare equipment and aid physician during examination and treatment of patient.
• Educate patients on surgical procedures.
• Participate in discharge planning and initiate patient education plan as prescribed by physician.

Requirements

• 1-2 years recent acute care experience.

Qualifications

• ACLS, BLS, TNCC, NIH certifications (1 year of each).
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.

Skills

• Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.
• Ability to bend, lean and stoop without difficulty.
• Ability to easily lift 20 pounds; moving or lifting patients may require up to 50 pounds.
• Capable of working in a fast‑paced environment treating patients that may be confused, agitated, and/or uncooperative.

Pay

Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.
