Job Summary

Vermont-based Medical Surgical Floor Registered Nurse (RN) position located in Saint Johnsbury. This role involves providing comprehensive patient care for adult and occasional pediatric patients in a busy general Med/Surg unit. The ideal candidate will lead clinical care activities, collaborate with the healthcare team, and utilize critical thinking skills to meet diverse patient needs in a scenic rural environment.

Job Details

• Shift Schedule: Dayshift, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week

Required Qualifications

• Valid Vermont Registered Nurse (RN) license or multi-state RN license
• BLS (American Heart Association)
• ACLS certification
• At least 3 years of acute care experience; preference for candidates with Meditech experience

Additional Information

• Travelers will start on Wednesdays.
• During the week of orientation, travelers on a 48-hour contract will only be guaranteed 36 hours due to a midweek start.
• The position involves occasional pediatric patient care; it is not a pediatric-only role.
• The facility is located in the scenic Northeast Kingdom region, offering outdoor recreational opportunities, with candidates responsible for securing their own housing and transportation.
• All credentials must be uploaded five business days prior to the start date to ensure a smooth onboarding process.

Pay Package

The pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
