Travel Nurse RN - Med Surg - $1,965 per week

About the role

Medical Surgical Floor Nurse Days Shift 09/21/2026 to 12/21/2026 (13‑week assignment). This full‑time position involves providing compassionate patient care on a 30‑bed medical‑surgical unit. The nurse will be responsible for delivering high‑quality clinical services, including IV starts, wound care, and cardiac rhythm interpretation, in a family‑oriented environment with supportive leadership.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate patient care on a 30‑bed medical‑surgical unit.
• Deliver high‑quality clinical services including IV starts, wound care, and cardiac rhythm interpretation.
• Utilize wound vacs, heparin gtts, suction devices, IV pumps, glucometers, bladder scanners, feeding pumps, and telemetry for patient monitoring.
• Document patient care using the editech system.
• Participate in float rotations between 2 North and 2 West units as required.
• Adhere to navy scrubs uniform; no fleece or sweatshirts permitted.
• Engage in positive patient and family interactions, service recovery, and escalate issues through the chain of command.
• Contribute to a family‑focused unit with visible leadership, flexible scheduling options, and a focus on staff development.

Requirements

• Valid nursing license.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
• Experience with IV starts, NGT placement, wound care, and cardiac rhythm interpretation.
• No minimum years of experience required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with complex wound care.
• Advanced cardiac monitoring skills.
