About the role
The organization is seeking a Medical Surgical (MS) Nurse for a contract role on the night shift at a healthcare facility located in Beckley, West Virginia. The position entails providing skilled patient care on a medical surgical floor, supporting a patient volume of approximately 13,000 annually. Orientation occurs biweekly on Wednesdays. Candidates must reside at least 60 miles from the facility to be considered. The facility is accredited by the Joint Commission and provides educational programs for nursing students and allied health externships.
Responsibilities
- Provide skilled patient care on a medical surgical floor.
Requirements
- Valid nursing license in the state of West Virginia.
- Current required certifications as per the facility’s checklist.
- 1 year of nursing experience in a clinical setting.
- Must reside at least 60 miles from the facility.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with surgical patients and emergent care.
Schedule
- Night shift, 12-hour shifts.
- Minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Start date: 09/30/2026.
- Duration: 13 weeks.
Pay
Pay package is based on 12-hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
