Travel Nurse RN - Med Surg - $1,890 per week

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a 13‑week assignment in Winchester, Tennessee. The position is full‑time travel (36 hours per week) on 12‑hour night shifts. TotalMed is a Top Ten travel nursing and healthcare staffing agency that places clinicians nationwide, focusing on putting highly‑skilled staff into facilities to ensure adequate staffing and a better patient experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside care for a variety of patients, including pre‑ and post‑op patients.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medication, reporting any adverse reactions to treatment.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Prepare equipment and aid physician during examination and treatment of patient.
• Educate patients on surgical procedures.
• Participate in discharge planning and initiate patient education plan as prescribed by physician.
• Stand and walk for long periods; bend, lean and stoop without difficulty.
• Lift up to 20 pounds routinely; moving or lifting patients may require up to 50 pounds.
• Work in a fast‑paced environment treating patients that may be confused, agitated, and/or uncooperative.

Requirements

• 1–2 years of recent acute care experience (minimum 1.5 years).
• Current BLS certification.
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning the assignment.

Pay

Pay package is based on 12‑hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.
