Travel Nurse RN - Med Surg - $1,881 per week

About the role

A Medical-Surgical (MS) RN will manage the care of adult patients experiencing general medical conditions or general surgical procedures. The position requires a solid clinical background and the ability to multitask.

Responsibilities

• Manage patient care for adults with general medical conditions or surgical procedures
• Treat patients with a wide range of acute health conditions
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement treatment plans
• Perform diagnostic tests and interpret results
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
• Provide emotional support and education to patients and families
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulations

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN)
• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Iowa
• Current BLS certification (CPR)
• At least one year of recent, relevant clinical experience in a medical-surgical setting
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Qualifications

• Passing score on the NCLEX-RN exam
• Knowledge of medical-surgical nursing principles and practices
• Proficiency in electronic health record systems

Pay

The pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.

Schedule

Shifts are 12 hours long, nights only.
