Fusion Medical Staffing is recruiting a Med Surg RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Roswell, New Mexico. The position offers 36 hours per week, 12-hour shifts, and starts immediately.

Qualifications

One year of recent Med Surg RN experience, valid RN license, current BLS certification, and preferred NIHSS certification are required.

Essential Work Functions

• Explain procedures and treatments to patients and families
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments
• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients’ conditions
• Prepare patients for diagnostic procedures
• Maintain a safe and comfortable environment
• Document comprehensive patient information
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
• Manage multiple patients efficiently
• Advocate for patients’ needs and preferences
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Technical/Motor Skills - Grasp, perform fine manipulation, push/pull, move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment
• Mental Requirements - Cope with frequent contact with the general public and customers, work under close supervision, work without assistance from other personnel, contend with irregular activity schedules, continuous concentration to detail
• Sensory - Visual acuity and ability to effectively communicate
