About the role
MedPro Healthcare Staffing is seeking a quality Med-Surg registered nurse (RN) for a 13-week travel assignment in Shawnee Mission, Kansas. This position offers 36 hours per week with 12-hour evening shifts.
Responsibilities
- Provide care for primarily adult patients before and after surgical procedures, as well as those being treated with pharmaceuticals to manage illness.
- Complete assignments made by physicians.
- Provide routine treatment and post-surgical care.
- Assess changes in patient's health status and perform various treatments.
- Administer medication.
- Meticulous documentation of medication and treatment administration to ensure continuity of care between nursing staff, physicians, and other treatment team members.
Requirements
- Active RN License.
- Degree from accredited nursing program.
- BLS Certifications.
- Eighteen months of recent experience in an Acute Care Med/Surg setting.
- Additional requirements to be determined by the client facility.

Pay
Pay package is based on 12-hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined. Weekly payment estimates include a gross estimate of hourly wages and reimbursements for meal, incidental, and housing expenses.
