About the role

As a Phlebotomist, you will be responsible for collecting blood and other specimens from patients for laboratory testing, ensuring proper handling, labeling, and documentation. You'll provide critical support to the diagnostic process while delivering compassionate and professional care.

Responsibilities

• Draw blood from patients using venipuncture, capillary, or arterial collection techniques
• Properly label and process specimens for laboratory analysis
• Verify patient identity and confirm test orders before collection
• Maintain accurate documentation and specimen tracking
• Prepare and maintain phlebotomy trays, supplies, and equipment
• Follow infection control, safety, and privacy protocols
• Provide excellent customer service and ease patient anxiety during collection
• Transport specimens to the appropriate lab or storage area as needed
• Assist with patient data entry and clerical tasks when required
• Support cleanliness and organization in the phlebotomy area

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Phlebotomist (preferred)
• Current BLS certification
• CPT National Certification
• State licensure may be required
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment

Pay

Pay package is based on 8‑hour shifts and 40.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.
