About the role
Long Term Care Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) position located in a healthcare facility in Lewiston, Maine. This role involves partnering with residents and care teams to provide a safe, comfortable, and therapeutic environment through direct and indirect nursing care. The units include specialized and rehabilitative care settings focused on residents with Alzheimer's/dementia, short-term recovery patients, and long-term residents.
Schedule
Days shift; 12-hour shifts; minimum of 36 hours per week.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct and indirect nursing care in specialized and rehabilitative care settings
- Partner with residents and care teams to maintain a therapeutic environment
- Cover 24 hours/day, 7 days/week as needed
- Float to other units as required
Requirements
- Associate's degree in Nursing
- Valid State of Maine or compact Registered Nurse (RN) license
- 0-3 years of previous RN experience
- Medical terminology preferred
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Flexibility to work varied shifts
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
Additional Information
- Candidates with licensure hits will not be considered
- Up to 16 hours of orientation may be unpaid
- St. Mary's reserves the right to cancel up to 3 shifts per 13-week contract
