Travel Nurse RN - Long Term Care (LTC) Long Term Care - $1,474 per week

About the role

TotalMed is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for an immediate travel opening in Canistota, SD, working in a Long-Term Care (LTC) or Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) setting. As an RN in Long-term care, you will oversee and provide nursing care to residents with chronic illnesses, disabilities, or rehabilitation needs, coordinate care, supervise nursing staff, and work closely with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to promote resident health and quality of life.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and develop individualized care plans
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
• Monitor residents' conditions and report changes promptly
• Supervise and support CNAs and LPNs in daily care activities
• Provide wound care, catheter care, and other skilled nursing procedures
• Coordinate care with physicians, therapists, and social workers
• Ensure compliance with infection control, safety, and regulatory guidelines
• Participate in care plan meetings and family conferences
• Document nursing care and resident progress accurately and timely
• Assist with admissions, discharges, and transfers

Requirements

• At least one year of experience as an RN in a Long-Term Care setting
• Current BLS certification
• Eligible for State licensure
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment

Pay

Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.

Schedule

13 weeks, 36 hours per week, 12-hour day shifts. Start date: 09/14/2026.
