Prime Time Healthcare Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN Long Term Care for a travel nursing job in Wheeling, West Virginia.
Unit details
- 60 residents total, approximately 30 residents per unit
- Private rooms
- RN/LPN ratio: 1:15
- CNA ratio: 1:10
- Mix of skilled rehab and long-term care residents
- Physicians available by phone 24/7
- Interdisciplinary support includes PT, OT, Speech Therapy, Social Services, Case Management, Dietitians, Pharmacy, Business Office, and Medical Records
Responsibilities
- IV therapy
- PICC line management
- Mediport and central line care
- IV antibiotics
- Blood administration
- IV fluids
- Medication administration
- Wound care
- Foley/catheter care
- PEG tube feedings
- Ostomy care
- Tracheostomy care
- Ongoing resident assessment and care coordination
Requirements
- Active RN license
- BLS/CPR required prior to first day
- License in hand not required to submit
- SNF/LTC or post-acute experience preferred
Schedule
- 12-hour day shifts: 6:45 AM–7:15 PM
- Every other weekend required
- No self-scheduling
- Block scheduling is not guaranteed
- No call or standby
- Travelers float as needed and may float before core staff
