Travel Nurse RN - Long Term Acute Care - $2,197 per week

MedPro Healthcare Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN for a Long Term Acute Care assignment in West Allis, Wisconsin. The assignment starts 10/19/2026, lasts 13 weeks, with 36 hours per week on 12‑hour day shifts. MedPro is a Joint Commission‑certified staffing agency that provides travel nursing opportunities nationwide.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for 5‑6 patients.
• Adjust and perform in a fast‑paced environment.
• Keep up with many admissions and discharges.
• Monitor and administer medications (orally, subcutaneously, and via IV).
• Educate patients and families on surgical processes and illness/injury management.
• Monitor and adjust specialized equipment, record and interpret electronic displays.
• Interpret telemetry readings and notify the medical team of irregularities.
• Perform all duties of a registered nurse.
• Care for patients with pulmonary HTN, respiratory failure, COPD, CHF, and A‑Fib.
• Use computer equipment to monitor cardiac and other vital information.
• Start IVs, draw blood, and follow patients from start to finish.

Requirements

• Active RN license.
• Degree from an accredited nursing program.
• BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Minimum 18 months of recent experience in a Long Term Acute Care setting.
• Experience with vents, trachs, drips, EG tubes, and ability to read tele‑strips.
• Additional requirements may be specified by the client facility.
