Travel Nurse RN - Long Term Acute Care - $2,089 per week

MedPro Healthcare Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN for a Long Term Acute Care assignment in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. The assignment begins October 5, 2026, lasts 13 weeks, and involves 36 hours per week on 12‑hour shifts. The nurse will join the LTAC unit caring for patients who require extended medical care.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for 5‑6 patients in the LTAC unit.
• Adjust and perform in a fast‑paced environment.
• Keep up with frequent admissions and discharges.
• Monitor and administer medications (orally, subcutaneously, and via IV).
• Educate patients and families on surgical processes and illness/injury management.
• Monitor and adjust specialized equipment, record and interpret electronic displays.
• Interpret and understand telemetry readings; notify the medical team of irregularities.
• Perform all duties expected of a registered nurse.
• Care for patients with pulmonary HTN, respiratory failure, COPD, CHF, and A‑Fib.
• Use computer equipment to monitor cardiac and other vital information.
• Start IVs, draw blood, and follow patients from admission to discharge.

Requirements

• Active RN license.
• Degree from an accredited nursing program.
• BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Eighteen months of recent experience in a Long Term Acute Care setting.
• Experience with vents, trachs, drips, EG tubes, and ability to read tele‑strips.
• Additional requirements may be specified by the client facility.
