Travel Nurse RN - Long Term Acute Care - $2,040 per week

Responsibilities

• Provide care for 5‑6 patients.
• Adjust and perform in a fast‑paced environment.
• Keep up with many admissions and discharges.
• Monitor and administer medications (orally, subcutaneously, and via IV).
• Educate patients and family on surgical processes and illness/injury management.
• Monitor and adjust specialized equipment; record and interpret electronic displays.
• Interpret telemetry readings and notify appropriate team of irregularities.
• Perform all duties of a registered nurse.
• Care for patients with pulmonary HTN, respiratory failure, COPD, CHF, and A‑fib.
• Use computer equipment to monitor cardiac and other vital information.
• Start IVs, draw blood, and follow patients from start to finish.

Requirements

• Active RN license.
• Degree from an accredited nursing program.
• BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Minimum 18 months recent experience in a Long Term Acute Care setting.
• Experience with ventilators, tracheostomies, IV drips, enteral (EG) tubes, and ability to read telemetry strips.
