Travel Nurse RN - Long Term Acute Care - $1,857 per week

About the role

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN for a Long Term Acute Care (LTAC) position in Florence, South Carolina. This is a 13‑week travel assignment requiring 36 hours per week on 12‑hour night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Perform head‑to‑toe assessments and respond promptly to changes in patient condition
• Administer IV medications, manage central lines, and monitor vital signs and lab results
• Provide ventilator and tracheostomy care, as well as advanced wound management
• Collaborate with respiratory therapists, physicians, and case managers for ongoing treatment plans
• Support patients with mobility, hygiene, and nutritional needs
• Supervise LPNs and CNAs, ensuring proper patient care delivery
• Adhere to strict infection control protocols and facility safety standards
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and communicate patient status updates
• Document all care activities and interventions accurately and in real time
• Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharge planning

Requirements

• At least 1 year of recent experience in a Long‑Term Acute Care or similar high‑acuity setting (ideal candidate: 2 years)
• Current BLS certification
• ACLS certification (preferred/required)
• Eligibility for South Carolina RN licensure
• Additional certifications may be required before assignment
