Shift Details: Nights (Contract), block scheduling available upon request. Target start date: 09/21/2026.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of LDRP experience required; no first-time travelers accepted.
• Two years of references must accompany each submittal.
• Active Washington RN license, BLS, and NRP required; intermediate or advanced FHM preferred.

Unit Overview

Birthing Center / Mother Baby unit features 13 L&D beds, 2 C-section OR suites, 2 triage beds, and 14 postpartum beds, averaging 170–190 births per month.

• Patient ratios follow AWHONN guidelines: 1:2 for L&D, 1:3–4 for couplets.
• Patients are 32 weeks and above (high-risk, preeclampsia, diabetic, etc.).
• Key skills: independent delivery attendance, circulating in C-sections, assisting with newborn transition, titrating drips (Magnesium, Pitocin, Insulin).
• Support staff: 24/7 in-house OBGYN/hospitalist, NNP, OB anesthesia, free charge nurses, and surgical tech.
• Charting systems: Centricity-perinatal (EFM) and EPIC (8-hour orientation class included).

Schedule & Policies

• Every-other-weekend requirement (Nights: Friday & Saturday); rotate holidays with permanent staff.
• Standby response time: 45 minutes when placed.
• Floating restricted to Mother Baby and postpartum; no floating to NICU or outside the department.
• Labor travelers must function in postpartum with routine mom/baby competencies.
