About the Role

Travel nursing position in Henderson, Nevada. The unit includes:

• 17 L&D beds
• 2 OR suites on the unit for C-Sections
• 4 triage beds
• 16 postpartum beds
• Approximately 250 births per month

This is a Level 3 high-risk facility. Nurses must be independent and confident with vaginal exams, internal monitor placement, high-risk laboring/delivery patients, and antepartum patients. Nurses circulate and recover their own C-Section patients and may float to MB and other units as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform vaginal exams and place internal monitors
• Manage high-risk laboring and delivery patients
• Care for antepartum patients
• Circulate and recover C-Section patients
• Float to postpartum and other units as needed
• Titrate drips, including Magnesium Sulfate, Pitocin, Insulin, and Heparin

Requirements

• CERNER experience required
• Must be independent and confident in specified skills
• Ability to titrate drips

Schedule

• 36 hours per week, 12-hour night shifts
• Self-scheduling via TEAM system, balanced by a scheduling committee
• Every other weekend required
• Holidays as needed
• No call or standby requirement
• Floating to postpartum as needed
