Key Responsibilities
- Providing comprehensive obstetric patient care, including assessment, treatment, and postpartum support
- Monitoring fetal and maternal health, interpreting fetal monitoring results, and responding to obstetric emergencies
- Assisting with labor, delivery, cesarean sections, and other procedures
- Educating patients and families on postpartum recovery, breastfeeding, and newborn care
- Collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care
- Documenting care accurately and participating in quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications and Skills Required
- At least one year of recent obstetric labor and delivery experience
- Valid RN license and current BLS and NRP certifications
- Strong clinical skills, critical thinking, and excellent communication abilities
- Physical ability to assist with procedures and move equipment
- Effective interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse teams
Preferred Certifications
- AWHONN Fetal Monitoring
- STABLE
- ACLS
