Role & Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive obstetric care, including assessment, treatment, and postpartum support.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure high-quality patient-centered care during labor, delivery, and postpartum.
- Administer medications, prepare equipment, and assist physicians during procedures.
- Monitor fetal and maternal health, interpret fetal monitoring results, and respond to obstetric emergencies.
- Educate patients and families on postpartum recovery, breastfeeding, and newborn care.
- Document care accurately and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
- Auxiliary with cesarean sections and other obstetric procedures, ensuring safety and compliance with standards.
Qualifications & Skills
- Recent experience as a Labor and Delivery RN with a valid license.
- Current BLS and NRP certifications; additional certifications such as AWHONN Fetal Monitoring, STABLE, and ACLS are preferred.
- Strong clinical, critical thinking, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Physical ability to move equipment and assist in procedures.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure, maintain attention to detail, and communicate clearly.

- Ensure patient safety and high standards of care, responding to emergencies as needed.
- Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to regulatory standards and hospital policies.
- Participate in team collaboration and quality improvement efforts.
- Perform fetal monitoring, assist in obstetric procedures, and provide postpartum education.
