Responsibilities
- Assessing maternal and fetal health during labor and postpartum
- Administering medications and treatments following obstetric protocols
- Preparing equipment and assisting physicians during delivery and procedures
- Providing postpartum education and newborn care instructions
- Responding to obstetric emergencies such as hemorrhage or fetal distress
- Monitoring fetal status through fetal monitoring and interpreting results
- Collaborating with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, and neonatologists
- Documenting care activities accurately and participating in quality initiatives
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and hospital policies
Qualifications & Skills
- One year recent experience in labor and delivery nursing
- Valid RN license, BLS, and NRP certifications
- PREFERRED: Fetal Monitoring, ACLS, STABLE certifications
- Strong clinical, critical thinking, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Physical ability to perform patient care tasks and move equipment
- Ability to work under pressure, maintain attention to detail, and communicate effectively
