This position involves providing high-quality nursing care to patients in the labor and delivery unit of a healthcare facility. The role requires delivering compassionate patient-centered care while adhering to clinical standards and safety protocols. The Nurse must demonstrate the ability to assess patient needs, interpret clinical data, and collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal maternal and neonatal outcomes. Job Details: Schedule: 12-hour shifts, minimum of 48 hours per week, working days only. Required Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; Associate degree required, Bachelors degree preferred. Current Colorado state Registered Nurse Licensure (compact license accepted, Colorado license must be obtained within the first 90 days of hire). Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications. Successful completion of EKG course within 4 months of hire. Unit Specific Requirements: Minimum of 1 year ICU/inpatient experience preferred. Successful completion of basic fetal monitoring course within 4 months of hire. NRP certification within 4 months of hire. Experience in labor, delivery, and nursery is preferred, with willingness to train in neonatal and recovery care. Additional Responsibilities: Administering nursing care in the labor and delivery unit, supervising non-professional staff, assisting physicians with procedures, monitoring fetal and maternal vital signs, and maintaining documentation in Cerner electronic medical records system. Work Environment: Exposure to infectious waste, chemicals, and other environmental factors. Moderate noise levels; physical ability to perform lifting and other physical demands. Language Skills: Effective communication in English (additional languages preferred). Other Requirements: Professional appearance, adherence to policies and procedures, and the ability to care for patients from diverse backgrounds.
