About the role
iDEAL Hire is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a travel nursing assignment in Lexington, Nebraska. Specialty: Labor and Delivery; Discipline: RN; Start Date: ASAP; Duration: 13 weeks; Hours: 48 per week; Shift: 12‑hour nights; Employment Type: Travel.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a Labor & Delivery setting, including antepartum, intrapartum, and immediate postpartum care
- Float as needed within the OB department, including Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Well‑Baby Nursery
- Flex to Med/Surg as required, as this is a critical access facility with 25 beds requiring multifaceted nursing support
- Document patient care accurately and efficiently using Cerner electronic health records
- Participate in on‑call responsibilities and adhere to the facility's call‑off policy (maximum 3 shifts per 13‑week contract without penalty)
- Attend orientation, which is conducted on Tuesdays only
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid for practice in Nebraska
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- BLS certification (AHA or ARC)
- ACLS certification (AHA or ARC)
- PALS certification (AHA or ARC) or ENPC/NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
Skills
- TNCC, NIHSS, CPI, or SANE certification (preferred)
- Experience in a critical access or small rural hospital setting with demonstrated ability to float across multiple units
- Proficiency with Cerner charting system

Pay
Pay package is based on 12‑hour shifts and 48.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.
