About the role

Special care nursery & NICU experience required.

Responsibilities

  • Assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of all aspects of care for patients within scope of practice.
  • Provides education to patients according to their needs.
  • Transcribes, utilizes and implements protocols and physician orders.
  • Coordinates healthcare team and delegates appropriate tasks to ancillary personnel.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Graduation of an accredited school of nursing required.
  • Previous experience in a hospital preferred.

Credentials

  • Current, valid RN license from the State of Wyoming and in good standing with the Board of Nursing.
  • Current, valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and maintain credentials throughout employment.
  • Current, valid Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification and maintain credential if performing circulating or recovery room for C-section, as determined by the Department Director.
  • Current, valid Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification if caring for Pediatrics.
  • Current, valid Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification, maintained throughout employment on the Family Care Unit.
  • Labor and Delivery nurses must complete the Intermediate Electronic Fetal Monitoring class within the first year after orientation.
  • Labor nurses must complete the Advanced Electronic Fetal Monitoring Class within three years of labor orientation.
