About the role
Travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery position at Good Samaritan Hospital in San Jose, CA. Start date: October 19, 2026. Duration: 13 weeks. Hours: 36 hours per week, 12‑hour day shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM). Unit: Labor & Delivery, 10 beds, staffed by approximately 120 personnel including charge nurses, RNs, CNAs, unit clerks, scrub techs, and sitters as needed. Patient ratios follow CA Title 22. Equipment includes Meditech/CPN EMR. Weekends are rotating per CBA; on‑call as applicable. Responsibilities
- Perform deliveries, C‑sections, and other L&D OR‑related cases.
- Utilize electronic medical record (Meditech/CPN) for documentation.
- Provide patient care in accordance with unit protocols and staffing ratios.
Requirements
- Active RN license.
- Minimum 4+ years of Labor and Delivery experience.
- Advanced skills in EFM (electronic fetal monitoring) and ACLS.
Skills
- Proficiency with Meditech/CPN EMR.
- EFM and ACLS competency.
- Ability to work rotating weekends and flexible scheduling per CBA.
- Strong communication and teamwork in a fast‑paced L&D environment.

Schedule
