About the role
Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) full-time night shift in a healthcare facility. This position involves providing comprehensive direct patient care to women during labor, delivery, postpartum, and neonatal care, ensuring all aspects of maternal and newborn care are managed effectively.
Schedule
- Nights, 36 hours per week, 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.
- 12-hour shifts
- Potential shift and area rotation based on staffing and census
- On-call required
Responsibilities
- Perform assessments and monitor labor progress
- Assist with deliveries and prepare for cesarean sections and inductions
- Document nursing care and administer IV medications
- Provide emotional support and coordinate transfers
- Educate patients and adhere to infection control principles and OB department policies
- Provide direct care to women in various stages of labor, postpartum, and neonatal care
- Ensure safety and quality standards are maintained
Requirements
- RN graduate with current licensure
- Current CPR certification
- Neonatal resuscitation certification
- ACLS certification within one year of employment
Preferred Qualifications
- Four years of obstetric care experience

- Proficiency in sterile technique and infection control
- Ability to perform effectively under high stress
