About the role
Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery travel assignment in Newark, Delaware. Start date ASAP. Pay rate: $2,879.00 - $3,026.00 per week.
Common diagnosis and treatment areas include labor, induction of labor, cesarean section delivery, external cephalic version, fetal demise, and intrauterine fetal death. Nurse-to-patient ratios range from 1:1 to 1:3 across 21–30 beds. Charting systems: Cerner, Fetalink, and Surginet. Scrub color: blue-light.
Areas of float support: antenatal, high risk, OB triage, postpartum. Special procedures include epidural management, magnesium sulfate administration, Pitocin titration, and insulin drips. Tele-interpretation required. Float to OR (no scrub/circulating required).
Responsibilities
- Manage 1:1, 1:2, or 1:3 patient ratios in a 21–30-bed unit
- Perform labor induction, cesarean section delivery, external cephalic version, and care for fetal demise/intrauterine fetal death
- Administer epidurals, magnesium sulfate, Pitocin, and insulin drips
- Float to antenatal, high-risk, OB triage, postpartum, and OR (no scrub/circulating duties)
- Document using Cerner, Fetalink, and Surginet
Requirements
- Active RN license (compact accepted)
- 2 years of labor and delivery experience
- 1 prior travel assignment in labor and delivery
- BLS, NRP, and ACLS (AHA certifications)
- SSN and date of birth required
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience with Cerner, Fetalink, and Surginet charting

- Every other weekend (EOW)
