Travel Nurse RN - Labor and Delivery - $2,840 per week

About the role

Labor and Delivery (L&D) Nurse opportunity in a healthcare facility. This role involves providing specialized care to women during labor, delivery, and postpartum, with an emphasis on fetal monitoring and obstetric procedures. The position requires experienced professionals comfortable with managing both mother and baby throughout the delivery process.

Responsibilities

• Assist with vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections
• Use electronic fetal monitoring equipment
• Administer medications such as Pitocin (oxytocin) and magnesium sulfate
• Monitor vital signs and fetal heart rates
• Manage postpartum care including fundus, lochia, and perineum

Requirements

• Valid California Registered Nurse (RN) license
• BLS, ACLS, NRP (provider) certifications
• Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification
• Minimum of 2 years recent experience in labor and delivery

Qualifications

• Charting system experience
• Community hospital experience
• Previous charge nurse experience (desired but not mandatory)

Schedule

• Night shifts, 12 hours per shift
• Minimum 36 hours per week
