About the role
The healthcare provider is seeking a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) for a birthing pavilion in Lebanon, New Hampshire. This position involves providing high-quality obstetric care in a busy maternity department with approximately 1,300 deliveries annually. The RN will be responsible for delivering patient-centered care across various maternal health scenarios, following staffing guidelines that ensure safety and quality. The role requires dedication to supporting both antepartum and postpartum patients in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality obstetric care in a busy maternity department
- Deliver patient-centered care across various maternal health scenarios
- Support labor and delivery patients during active labor, cervical ripening, postpartum recovery, and surgical procedures if necessary
- Adhere to clinical protocols and safety standards specific to maternity care, including nurse-patient ratios outlined by organizational guidelines
Requirements
- Valid RN licensure
- Childbirth or labor and delivery experience
- At least 1 year of clinical nursing experience in a maternity or obstetric setting
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of AWHONN staffing guidelines
- Experience with high-risk obstetric patient management
- Familiarity with fetal monitoring and labor support techniques
Schedule
- Day shift, 12-hour shifts
- Minimum of 36 hours per week
