About the role

• 13-week travel assignment in Austin, Texas
• 36 hours per week, 12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM night shift)
• Rotating weekends
• No-call requirements
• Unit details:
  • 32 beds
  • 150 staff members
  • Day Shift: 1 charge nurse, 1 co-charge nurse, RNs to accommodate 1:1 or 1:2 patient ratio
  • Night Shift: 1 charge nurse, 1 co-charge nurse, RNs to accommodate 1:1 or 1:2 patient ratio
  • Patient Ratios: 1:2
  • Equipment: Novii, JADA, Fetal Pillow, IUPC, FSE, Toco, US
  • EMR: Meditech

Responsibilities

• Perform typical Labor and Delivery procedures, including:
  • Spontaneous Vaginal Delivery (SVD)
  • Cerclages
  • Cesarean Sections (C-Sections)
  • Trial of Labor After Cesarean (TOLAC)
• Intermediate fetal monitoring
• C-Section circulation

Requirements

Must have: Candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role.

• EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
• SVE (Sterile Vaginal Exam) competency
• 2+ years of nursing experience in Labor and Delivery

Preferred or nice to have: Candidates with these skills will be considered first.

• Internal monitor placement competency
• Previous HCA assignment/employment
• Experience in a Level IV unit (high volume unit)
