About the role
- 13-week travel assignment in Austin, Texas
- 36 hours per week, 12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM night shift)
- Rotating weekends
- No-call requirements
- Unit details:
- 32 beds
- 150 staff members
- Day Shift: 1 charge nurse, 1 co-charge nurse, RNs to accommodate 1:1 or 1:2 patient ratio
- Night Shift: 1 charge nurse, 1 co-charge nurse, RNs to accommodate 1:1 or 1:2 patient ratio
- Patient Ratios: 1:2
- Equipment: Novii, JADA, Fetal Pillow, IUPC, FSE, Toco, US
- EMR: Meditech
Responsibilities
- Perform typical Labor and Delivery procedures, including:
- Spontaneous Vaginal Delivery (SVD)
- Cerclages
- Cesarean Sections (C-Sections)
- Trial of Labor After Cesarean (TOLAC)
- Intermediate fetal monitoring
- C-Section circulation
Requirements
Must have: Candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role.
- EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
- SVE (Sterile Vaginal Exam) competency
- 2+ years of nursing experience in Labor and Delivery
Preferred or nice to have: Candidates with these skills will be considered first.
- Internal monitor placement competency
- Previous HCA assignment/employment
- Experience in a Level IV unit (high volume unit)
