Travel Nurse RN - Labor and Delivery - $2,669 per week

About the Role

Travel nursing position for an RN specializing in Labor and Delivery at North Austin Medical Center in Austin, Texas. This is a 13-week assignment with 36 hours per week on 12-hour day shifts. No call requirements; alternating weekends.

Unit Details

• Number of Beds: 32
• Number of Staff: 150
• Staffing Structure:
  • Day Shift: 1 charge nurse, 1 co-charge nurse, RNs to accommodate 1:1 or 1:2 patient ratio
  • Night Shift: 1 charge nurse, 1 co-charge nurse, RNs to accommodate 1:1 or 1:2 patient ratio
• Patient Ratios: 1:2
• Equipment Used: Novii, JADA, Fetal Pillow, IUPC, FSE, Toco, US
• EMR: Meditech
• Permanent Positions Available: Yes

Requirements

• Must Have (Non-Negotiable):
  • EFM, ACLS, BLS, NRP certifications
  • SVE competency
  • C-Section circulation experience
  • 2+ years of nursing experience in Labor and Delivery
• Preferred (Considered First):
  • Internal monitor placement competency
  • Previous HCA assignment/employment
  • Experience in a Level IV (high-volume) unit

Responsibilities

• Perform typical Labor and Delivery procedures, including:
• Spontaneous Vaginal Deliveries (SVD)
• Cerclages
• C-Sections
• Trial of Labor After Cesarean (TOLAC)
