Position Overview

Seeking an experienced L&D/LDRP RN with a strong background across Labor and Delivery, Postpartum, Antepartum, OB/GYN, and Level I Nursery care. The nurse must be comfortable circulating C-sections, attending deliveries, assessing newborns, and supporting patients throughout the full maternal-newborn continuum.

Non-Negotiable Experience Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of recent experience in:
    • Labor and Delivery or LDRP
    • Postpartum
    • Level I Nursery
    • OB/GYN
  • Experience with antepartum and obstetric triage patients
  • Experience caring for postoperative gynecologic patients, including hysterectomy recovery
  • Must be comfortable circulating C-sections
  • Must be able to attend deliveries and assist with immediate newborn care

Required Certifications

All certifications must be current and attached at submission:

  • AHA BLS
  • AHA ACLS
  • NRP
  • S.T.A.B.L.E.
  • AWHONN fetal monitoring certification

License Requirements

  • Active Wyoming RN license or qualifying multistate RN license
  • License must be attached to the resume or submission packet

Responsibilities

  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate maternal-newborn care
  • Administer medications and complete ordered treatments
  • Perform specimen collection and clinical procedures
  • Monitor and communicate changes in patient condition
  • Circulate cesarean sections
  • Assist physicians during vaginal and operative deliveries
  • Recover surgical obstetric patients
  • Staff the neonatal station during C-sections
  • Complete immediate newborn assessments after delivery
  • Provide postpartum and Level I Nursery care
  • Educate patients and families
  • Coordinate transfers, discharge planning, and referrals
  • Support patients’ physical, emotional, and psychosocial needs
  • Assist with activities of daily living when needed

Floating

Floating may be required based on facility census. Floating outside the specialty will be limited to helping-hands or patient-sitter assignments. Travelers will not be expected to accept an independent assignment outside their documented competency.
