Med Ninjas is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a travel nursing job in Rochester, New York.Job Description & RequirementsSpecialty: Labor and DeliveryDiscipline: RNStart Date: ASAPDuration: 13 weeks36 hours per weekShift: 12 hours, daysEmployment Type: TravelJob Summary: Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery - Position: Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery - Location: Rochester General Hospital, Rochester, NY Scheduling & Charting - 12-hour shifts (7a-7p or 7p-7a), 13-week contract - Every other weekend and holiday required - No on-call requirement - Charting: EPIC experience required; will also use CPN/GE Centricity - Must submit time-off/special scheduling requests at submission - Up to 3 shifts may be canceled by the client per contract - First-time travelers accepted - Must reside at least 75 miles from the facility if RN Licenses & Certifications - Active New York State RN or LPN license required (no pending licenses) - Required certifications: OB-ACLS or ACLS, BLS, EFM, NRP Required Skills - Assist with and recover vaginal and C-section deliveries - Administer Magnesium Sulfate, Pitocin, Terbutaline - Perform APGAR scoring, baby nurse (baby catcher) duties, ID/security banding - Operate radiant warmers, provide thermoregulation - Insert/manage Foley catheters, provide fundus/lochia/perineum care - Manage postpartum hemorrhage, pregnancy-induced hypertension - Conduct NSTs, use EFM and IUPC for monitoring Unit Details - Care for all pregnant patients at any gestational age and postpartum up to 6 weeks - Equipment: GE Fetal & Telemetry Monitors, Monica wireless fetal monitoring, Neopuff, Draeger newborn warmers - Required to float within skillset as needed - Hospital-provided scrubs Hospital Highlights - 528-bed acute care teaching facility, Magnet-recognized - Advanced Thrombectomy Capable Stroke Center - Affiliated with Cleveland Clinic and Roswell Park - Labor & Delivery unit features private suites, on-unit ORs, advanced monitoring, OB and midwifery care - Baby-Friendly, family-centered unit with high-performing maternity outcomesMed Ninjas Job ID #19318.
