Travel Nurse RN - Labor and Delivery - $2,580 per week

About the role

Lactation and Postpartum Nurse (RN) Day Rotation, located in a dedicated Labor & Delivery department. This role involves providing comprehensive care to mothers and newborns in a 25‑bed unit, with responsibilities that include assisting during labor, postpartum recovery, and newborn care. The position requires flexibility to rotate between day, evening, and night shifts, including EOW (every other week) and call duties.

Responsibilities

• Provide labor support, postpartum care, newborn assessments, and circulate for surgical procedures.
• Manage patient ratios of 1:2‑3 evaluations and 1:1 active labor patients.
• Administer magnesium sulfate infusion and manage epidurals.

Requirements

• Current Massachusetts RN License
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
• Electronic Fetal Heart Monitoring (EFM) certification (renewed every two years)

Preferred Qualifications

• AHA ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification

Unit Details

25‑bed unit with 5 Labor & Delivery rooms, 12 postpartum beds, 2 operating rooms, 2 recovery rooms, and 2 antepartum nursing units; average daily census of 15‑25 mothers and babies. EMR system: EPIC. No floating required.

Schedule

• 36 hours per week, 12‑hour shifts.
• Rotating shifts: 7:00 am – 7:30 pm, 11:00 am – 11:30 pm, and 7:00 pm – 7:30 am, with every‑other‑week (EOW) rotation.
• Primarily day position with rotation to evening and night shifts as needed; no straight‑day schedule offered.
