The position may also involve participating in quality improvement activities and unit leadership.
Schedule
- Night shift (12-hour shifts)
- Minimum of 36 hours per week
Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for labor and delivery patients
- Provide high-quality maternity care using specialized nursing knowledge and skills
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver efficient and effective care
- Document assessments and interventions accurately
- Provide education and support to patients and their families during labor and delivery
- Participate in quality improvement activities and unit leadership as needed
Requirements
- Valid registered nurse license in the state of practice
- BLS certification
- At least one year of experience in a labor and delivery setting within the past 12 months
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in nursing (preferred)
- Professional certification in obstetric nursing (preferred)
