Travel Nurse RN - Labor and Delivery - $2,470 per week
About the Role
Travel nursing position for an RN specializing in Labor and Delivery in Salem, Virginia. Assignment duration is 13 weeks with 36 hours per week on 12-hour shifts, available days and nights.
Unit Details
- 9 LDR beds, 8 PP/GYN beds, 2 OR suites, and a 23-bed wellborn nursery
- 50+ staff members including:
- Day Shift: Director, Manager, Couplet nurses, Birth response nurse, L&D nurses, Scrub Tech
- Night Shift: Clinical coordinator or charge nurse, Birth response, Couplet, L&D nurses, Scrub Tech
- Patient Ratios:
- 3 couplets per 1 nurse
- L&D: 1:1 for active labor, Pitocin, or epidural
- Equipment: Corometrics
- EMR: Centricity Perinatal & Meditech
Requirements
- OB experience (must have)
- BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN certifications
- Preferred skills:
- Cesarean section experience as circulator, 1st assist, or scrub

- Floating within the unit (no floating outside the unit)
