Job Summary

Labor and Delivery (L&D) specialty at a healthcare facility in Iowa. This role involves providing care to patients during labor, delivery, and postpartum periods. It requires experience in high-risk obstetrics and electronic fetal monitoring, with a focus on supporting mother-baby care in a Level I or Level II trauma setting.

Job Details

  • Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), FHM (Fetal Heart Monitoring), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support); active Iowa or multistate license required.
  • Education Requirements: Recent/current labor delivery experience required, along with specific skills in obstetrics and neonatal care.
  • Experience Requirements: A minimum of 0 years of experience in labor and delivery; recent experience in high-risk obstetrics and trauma care highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Caring for high-risk obstetric patients.
  • Conducting C-sections and vaginal deliveries.
  • Floating across multiple campuses as needed.

Requirements

  • Certifications and licensure required upon submission include AHA/American Heart Association or ARC/AMERICAN RED CROSS BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN certificate.
  • Recent employment history demonstrating labor delivery experience.
  • Specific skills checklist.
  • Active state license.
  • Professional references within the past 24 months.
  • Completed at least one travel assignment within the past 12 months.
  • Recent electronic fetal monitoring experience.

Pay and Schedule
