Travel Nurse RN - Labor and Delivery - $2,247 per week

Job Description

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a 13-week assignment in Henderson, Nevada.

Requirements

• One year’s recent experience as a Labor and Delivery RN
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) Certification

Qualifications

• AWHONN Fetal Monitoring Certification
• STABLE and ACLS Certifications (AHA / ARC)

Essential Work Functions

• Communicate labor and delivery procedures to patients and families
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments
• Prepare equipment and aid physician during labor, delivery, and examination
• Provide immediate postpartum care
• Collaborate with healthcare teams
• Respond to obstetric emergencies
• Document patient care accurately
• Assist in cesarean sections and other obstetric procedures
• Comply with regulatory standards

Required Essential Skills

• Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills
• The ability to read/write in the English language
• Ability to read/write and communicate verbally
• Read and comprehend written instructions
• Proficiency in PC skills
• Maintain physical abilities to remain in a stationary position, move about, move equipment (50-100lbs), push, pull, and bend
• Interpersonal skills to work effectively with a variety of personnel
• Physical abilities to assist with procedures and/or use department equipment
• Mental requirements to cope with frequent contact with the general public and customers while meeting deadlines under pressure
