Responsibilities

• Work in Labor and Delivery unit (8 Labor beds, 14 Postpartum beds, 3 EDOB, 2 OR).
• Follow staffing model: Day shift – 1 CNC, 1 Triage, 2 RN, 1‑2 OB Scrub Tech; Night shift – 1 CNC, 1 Triage, 2 RN, 1 OB Scrub Tech.
• Maintain patient ratios: Labor 1‑2:1, Postpartum 3‑4 couplets:1 RN.
• Use equipment: EFM, FSE, IUPC, SCDs, IV pumps, medication scanning, supply scanning.
• Document in EMR systems CPN and Meditech.
• Adhere to facility policy regarding scheduling, including every other weekend and holiday rotation.

Requirements

• Current BLS certification.
• Current ACLS certification.
• Current NRP certification.
• Intermediate Fetal Monitoring / C‑EFM certification (for Labor and Delivery).
• Demonstrated competence in performing cervical exams.

Skills

• Perform cervical exams.
• Place FSE/IUPC.
• Assist with scheduled and emergent Cesarean sections.
• Manage vaginal deliveries.
• Support vacuum‑assisted deliveries.

Schedule

• 12‑hour night shifts.
• Three 12‑hour shifts per week (36 guaranteed hours).
• Shift pattern: 7P‑7A (7 PM to 7 AM).
