Travel Nurse RN - Labor and Delivery - $1,980 per week

Job Summary

Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse in Salem, Virginia. This position involves providing specialized care for patients in the labor and delivery unit, including assisting with vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, epidural placements, and antepartum triage. The role demands a team-oriented approach with a focus on patient safety, comfort, and clinical excellence.

Schedule

• Nights shift, 12-hour shifts
• Minimum of 36 hours per week
• Four weekend shifts in a 4-week schedule
• Daily huddles at 6:45 AM

Required Qualifications

• RN licensure
• BLS, ACLS, NRP certifications
• 0.0 years of experience required
• Labor and delivery experience
• Proficiency in strip interpretation, blood administration, nitrous administration, and setting up delivery tables
• Teamwork approach to patient care
• Familiarity with common OB complications and treatments

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with labor and delivery procedures such as C-section, vaginal deliveries, epidural placement
• Knowledge of OB medications

• Documentation systems: Meditech and Centricity
• Available equipment: Monica Novii, ambulatory (telemetry) monitors, and GE electronic fetal monitoring
• Dress code: hospital-provided scrubs, with option to wear personal attire after changing on arrival and departure
