Travel Nurse RN - Labor and Delivery - $1,945 per week

About the Role

Labor and Delivery (L&D) Nurse in a high-volume, Level IV Maternal Designation facility. This position involves providing specialized maternal and neonatal care in a fast-paced, high-risk delivery environment, supporting over 500+ deliveries per month with 24-hour in-house coverage for obstetric and neonatal services.

Unit Description

This Level IV Maternal Designation facility features 26 LDR suites, including low intervention rooms, 6 C-section suites, 14 Triage rooms, 60 Mother-Baby Couplet rooms, and 16 monitored Antepartum rooms. The unit functions as both an academic teaching service and a large private OB practice, performing over 500 deliveries monthly with 24-hour OB, anesthesia, and NICU coverage, along with a Perinatal Transport Program.

Certifications, Education, and Experience

• BLS Provider certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Registered Nurse licensure in Texas
• Neonatal Resuscitation certification from the American Academy of Pediatrics
• Advanced Life Support certification
• Associates Degree in Nursing from an accredited school/college of nursing
• Minimum of 2 years of Labor and Delivery/Perinatal experience in high-volume delivery service

Preferred Qualifications

• 3-5 years of Perinatal clinical experience in high-volume delivery environment
• Bachelors Degree in Nursing
• Advanced Fetal Monitoring Certification
• S.T.A.B.L.E Program certification

Schedule

• Days shift, 12 hours per shift
• Minimum of 36 hours per week
• Duration: 13 weeks
