About the role
HealthTrust Workforce Solutions HCA is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a 13-week assignment in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a Labor and Delivery unit.
- Assist with patient ratios of 1:1-2 laboring, 1:2-3 AP, 1:1 c/s and PACU.
- Work 36 hours per week on a 12-hour shift schedule, days.
- Staffing includes an OB tech always in staffing for scrubbing c/s and assisting with vaginal deliveries, a dedicated charge nurse for triage and transport (baby nurse), and a unit secretary from 0700-2300.
- Equipment used includes a documentation system (Meditech and Centricity).
- Scheduling requires 3 shifts/week, with flexibility during winter holidays.
- Floating to Mother Baby is possible but infrequent.
Requirements
Must have current RN license in TN, BLS certification, and be eligible to work in the United States.
Qualifications
Experience in Labor and Delivery preferred.
Skills
Strong communication and teamwork skills are required.
