About the role
Labor and Delivery (L&D) Nurse in an acute care facility. This position involves providing high-risk obstetric care with a focus on postpartum treatment following delivery. The role requires handling diverse patient populations and high census volumes, including managing obstetric emergencies.
Responsibilities
- Provide maternal care for high-risk obstetric patients
- Manage postpartum hemorrhage
- Administer medications such as Magnesium sulfate and Pitocin
- Utilize EPIC for charting
- Handle a census surge and float between nearby sister facilities if needed
Required Qualifications
- Valid Compact license
- BLS certification
- NRP certification
- At least 2 years of high-acuity obstetric experience including postpartum, postpartum hemorrhage, magnesium sulfate therapy, Pitocin (oxytocin), Foley management
- EPIC electronic health record experience
Preferred Qualifications
- JADA experience
- Substance withdrawal experience
- Familiarity with postpartum care for multiple newborns (4 couplets)

Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
