Job Description
Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Interventional Radiology RN for a 12-week travel assignment in Lake Forest, Illinois. The role involves performing comprehensive pre-procedure assessments, educating patients, administering and monitoring sedation, assisting physicians during procedures, providing post-procedure monitoring, and collaborating with healthcare team members.
Requirements
- One year’s recent experience as an Interventional Radiology RN
- Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
- Current BLS (AHA/ ARC) certification
- PALS or ENPC certifications preferred
- ACLS certification preferred
- RCIS/RCES certification preferred
Qualifications
- Preferably PALS or ENPC certifications
- RCIS/RCES certification preferred
- Other certifications or licenses may be required for this position
Essential Work Functions
- Perform comprehensive pre-procedure assessments, including reviewing medical history and lab results
- Education of patients and families about IR procedures, sedation, and post-procedure care
- Administration and monitoring of moderate sedation, ensuring patient comfort and safety
- Maintenance of accurate documentation of patient assessments, medications, and procedural details
- Collaboration with IR technologists, radiologists, and other healthcare team members to deliver coordinated care
- Adherence to hospital safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and regulatory standards
- Performance of other duties as assigned within the scope of practice
