Alliance Services, Inc. is seeking a travel nurse RN Intermediate Care for a position in Marshfield, Wisconsin.

Job Details

  • Work 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
  • Shift options include 7:00 AM–7:00 PM, 11:00 AM–11:00 PM, and 7:00 PM–7:00 AM
  • Every other weekend (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday) required
  • Every other holiday required
  • 36-hour weekly schedule available
  • No self-scheduling; block scheduling accommodated when possible but not guaranteed
  • No on-call or standby requirement for agency staff; however, staff may be low-censused or reallocated in 4-hour blocks based on staffing needs
  • Nurse-to-patient ratios average 1:4–5 on day/PM shifts and 1:5–7 on nights (must be comfortable with up to 7 patients)
  • Unit consists of 28 beds with a heavy cardiac focus (up to 75% cardiac patients)
  • Common patient diagnoses include pre/post caths, pre-CABG, chest pain, NSTEMIs, CHF, COPD, pneumonia, diabetes, dialysis, altered mental status, nephrology, hematology, wounds, and overflow strokes
  • Required to titrate drips including insulin, heparin, nitroglycerin, diltiazem, and Lasix
  • Telemonitors available on unit; tele techs provide 24/7 remote monitoring
  • Equipment includes continuous CPAP and BiPAP, high flow, Vapotherm, nebulizers, and chest PT (no ventilators)
  • Nurse aides available with ratios averaging 1:9 on day/PM shifts and 1:14 on nights
  • Charge nurse carries a reduced patient assignment and serves as a resource to staff
  • Floating to Med/Surg floors and other specialty areas may be required on a rotating basis
  • Charting system: Cerner
  • Scrub color: Any color; clean and professional appearance required
  • Orientation consists of one 12-hour day off unit and one 12-hour shift on unit
  • Minimum 1 year of Telemetry, IMC, or Step-down RN experience required
  • Must have drip titration experience
  • Majority of cardiac experience required given the heavy cardiac focus of the unit
  • Previous travel experience preferred
  • Required certifications: BLS (AHA), NIHSS
