About the role
We are seeking an Infection Prevention Coordinator for an 8-week travel assignment in Fairfield, CA. This full-time role offers 40 guaranteed hours per week on a day shift schedule (5x8 hours).
Responsibilities
- Coordinate infection prevention and control activities in an acute care setting.
- Apply strong knowledge of infection prevention and epidemiology.
- Perform data analysis and statistical reporting.
- Develop and deliver training on infection control practices.
- Provide on-call support and attend occasional evening meetings as required.
Requirements
- Active California RN License.
- BSN required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of acute care experience.
- At least 6 months of acute care infection prevention experience preferred.
- Infection Control Certification preferred; must obtain within 18 months of hire.
- APIC EPI 101 completion within 12 months of hire.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong communication, leadership, analytical, organizational, and project management skills.
- Valid California driver’s license and access to a vehicle with minimum required insurance.
