8-week Travel ICU/ACCU RN contract available in Moreno Valley, California.

Requirements

• Active California RN License
• BLS
• ACLS
• NIHSS
• Conscious Sedation experience
• 5 years of recent ICU RN experience in an acute care facility
• CCRN highly preferred
• At least 1 year of travel experience highly preferred
• Must be comfortable floating to ICU, ED, PACU and IMC units

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to critically ill patients
• Perform comprehensive assessments and develop and update patient care plans
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and recognize and respond to dysrhythmias
• Manage pressure monitoring, bedside cardiac monitors, specialty beds, pain and sedation protocols
• Administer medications, including high-risk medications, according to established protocols
• Provide care following sepsis, ventilator-associated pneumonia, central line and pressure ulcer protocols
• Document assessments, ICU flow sheets, medications, critical values and patient progress
• Communicate changes in patient condition to physicians and the multidisciplinary healthcare team
• Float to ICU, ED and PACU to care for ICU patients, as well as IMC patients in other units as needed
