Travel Nurse RN - ICU - Intensive Care Unit - $2,450 per week

About the role

Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN for an ICU position in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. The assignment starts 10/19/2026, lasts 13 weeks, with 36 hours per week on 12‑hour night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized critical care to complex patient cases in a 30‑bed medical‑surgical and progressive care unit.
• Perform duties such as mechanical ventilation, oxygen therapy, intravenous medication administration, sedation monitoring, chest tube management, and cardiac monitoring.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.
• Participate in unit orientation and competency validation (telemetry, mechanical ventilation) as part of the onboarding process.

Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure.
• Current BLS certification (American Heart Association).
• Current ACLS certification (American Heart Association).
• Minimum 1 year of experience in an ICU setting.
• Availability for night shifts and ability to work a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Meet any location‑specific requirements as specified.

Qualifications

• Preferred: Specialty certifications in Progressive Care Nursing or Medical‑Surgical Nursing.
• Preferred: Additional experience with respiratory care procedures including Bipap, Cpap, Heated High Flow, and oxygen titration.
